Im building a new lab cluster from "old" HP dl360 gen10 servers. I have 6 server available.
I want to optimize performance, because why not.
I will have between 22-30 800 GB sas24 ssds.
I also have 12 hp 960gb sata ssds, but these might slow down the sas drives in the ceph cluster? Could I mark these as hdd to get the storage outof them but use "colder" data on these.
I will upgrade the backend NICs to 2x25GB
front end will be 2x10GB for vm etc.
extra rj45 nic for corosync.
How would one populate 5 or 6 servers for best performance from ceph?
