Hey all,

I just tried to get ceph's zabbix module running.
I followed the ceph docs at http://docs.ceph.com/docs/master/mgr/zabbix/
Communication seems to be fine but no data is send.
Got this in the mgr log:

Code:

a few months ago we got ceph to work with zabbix. I had another thread on this , there are some hints there. check / search for that thread and send me a reply - i can dig up our configuration notes and post.

was it ceph or proxmox+ceph ?
zabbix works with the agent on proxmox, but ceph has this message as above when enabling debug 20 on mgr

zabbix for us has been a fabulous tool for monitoring ceph + all servers and systems. I was going to make a new thread to ask a question - which I'll do.
kifeo : do you still need help on getting ceph to send data to zabbix?

My question - attached is a zabbix ceph graph. for us the results seem good, howeer we have nothing to compare the graph to.
on the attached png , how does the latency look to others using ceph / zabbix?

Hi RobFantini,

I could successfully manage to make it work, this was due to a mismatch in the zabbix template if I remember correctly.

Here is my latency graph (sorry for the bad results, this is a home lab with also spinning disks)
