Just one question:
Do you use HA?

We activated HA and have some problems after a lost node joined back into the cluster.

That is one difference in our setup. Our setup is strictly a proxmox ceph cluster. We don't run any VM's on the front ends. We have other clusters dedicated just for the VM's.

Yeppers, proxmox has done a great job imo. We are a CentOS shop, but it was just easier with proxmox.
