Ceph 17.2.0 and 16.2.8 ETA?

16.2.8 should be available soon after its release. Currently it is stuck on some regressions, especially: https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/45963
according to the ceph-devel Mailing List.

As for Quincy, I can't give you any info regarding when exactly it will be available.
For now it still needs further testing from our side and will be released once we're satisfied with the experience (Upgrade Instructions, Stability, Packaging Issues and so on).
It will be a while at least.

Internal tests are underway, this includes the upgrade guide. But I still can't provide an ETA for now.
I'll update this thread once we release it.

Ceph 17.2.0 packages should now be available: http://download.proxmox.com/debian/ceph-quincy/dists/bullseye/

This is a PREVIEW version!

The upgrade guide should be made available soon.
Please wait for the upgrade guide to be available, if you want to check out the PREVIEW version. There are some edge cases to consider!

There will be an announcement made when everything is in place. Please wait until then with upgrading to the PREVIEW version.

The announcement is now available:

Sorry, I should have been more clear that it's not yet ready for upgrading.

Please always wait for the ugprade guide to be available and the official announcement.

I've updated my post above.
