Hi,

How to run CentOS3/4 virtual machines on Proxmox VE 8.2.7 ? New or ESXi imported VMNs ?

Thanks.

Hey,

I don't see why downloading the ISO and booting it wouldn't work. Did you run into problems with that?

No hardisk found. I try a lot of drivers (VirtIO, etc) and no harddisk found.

Have you tried IDE or SATA, did both not work?

Thanks for the hints! I use now VirtIO for the harddisk with VirtIO SCSI Single!

Thanks! :)

But you said the VM can't use the drive like this, my question was if you have tried either IDE or SATA(instead to VirtIO), and if that also did not work.

This sounds like an error at an early boot process (bios), before OS is engaged. Have you set the boot order properly in VM options?

What is your VM configuration? "qm config [vmid]"
Does the serial console work on your VM? "qm start [vmid] && qm terminal [vmid]"
If it does not, post a screenshot that illustrates the error.
