catalog list for snapshots on media pool

Hi all,

Is it possible to list the files in a catalog for snapshots that are listed in the media pool? Right now, I can dump a catalog for any snapshot on the datastore presumably because the chunks are on disk but I have no way of doing this for snapshots that have been previously backed up to tape, stored in the media pool. Is there a special switch I should use? Maybe this is a feature request: an option to save catalog.pcat1 for media pool snapshots which can be used to locate files on tape before restore. Since this feature might not be available right now, is the only way to see the files in snapshots on tape is to restore the tape to the datastore?

no currently there is no way to see the files inside a snapshot that is only backed up to tape, so you have to restore it to a datastore

but you could open a feature request, there we can better discuss if that's sensible and feasible to implement
(maybe some other solution would be even better, like a 'search file over this range of snapshots')
