Hi,

I have setup a new PBS server on my remote network and I'm trying to sync from the local PBS from the remote one.

The remote one has a user, remu-01@pbs with DatastoreBackup and DatastoreReader permissions on /datastore/storage/002 (storage002 has 4 namespaces).

The remote has the correct IP address, fingerprint and remote credentials.

The remote user has DatastoreReader permissions on the remote datastores.

Below I've pasted the output from the local server. Am I missing something?

2022-12-23T14:12:36+01:00: Starting datastore sync job 'pm-70:storage001:storage002:pm-80:sj-001' 2022-12-23T14:12:36+01:00: sync datastore 'storage002' from 'pm-70/storage001' 2022-12-23T14:12:36+01:00: ---- 2022-12-23T14:12:36+01:00: Syncing datastore 'storage001', namespace 'pm-80' into datastore 'storage002', namespace 'pm-80' 2022-12-23T14:12:36+01:00: found 552 groups to sync 2022-12-23T14:12:36+01:00: sync group ct/85000 failed - owner check failed (remu-01@pbs != remote1@pbs)

Thanks

You can use proxmox-backup-client change-owner vm/123 <youruser>@pbs --repository <yourrepository> to change the backups owner

Hi, I think I understand now. Before today I had another PBS with another user. I think it's that. I'll give it a try, thanks!

EDIT: It works!

So far so good, the main problem is that there is no way to massively change the ownership of a backup (or delete it too).
