You could run a scrub on your TrueNAS. Sounds like the backup archive got corrupted.
I created the backup multiple times. But the problem persists. I was making the backup as 'snapshot', should I try something else? Like 'stop' or 'suspend'.

If you do the backup as "snapshot" it is important to install the qemu-guest-agent inside the guest so the host can tell the guest to drop all caches so you don't loose cached but unwritten data when doing the snapshot. "Stop" would be the most secure way to do backups because everything would be in a defined state and no software is running that could "crash" on an restore.

I backed up my VM in a Synology NFS and then the restoration was successful. I think there is something wrong with my TrueNAS Dataset. Thanks for your support.

I'm having the same issue, from an 8TB internal HDD XFS formatted. 4 (of four) backups are unrestorable. I could understand a single corruption but I can't believe 4 backup corruption. That could be a problem with ZST?
The backup process was declared as OK in all the cases by proxmox.
When QEMU-guest-agent is not running the backup normally fails.
Also, the backups on another HDD are corrupted. I tried also to restart proxmox. My version is 6.3.3.

Could I ignore the errors and go ahead in some way (I could restore data from a different backup source after VM restore)?
Thanks
