I have PVE1 running on an old PC for years now, and wanted to switch to a "real" server, since I bargained an ML150.
So, I Updated the PVE1 to 6.3 and installed the same version to the "new" ML150 and called it PVE2 (What else?).
At first I created a cluster on PVE2, but when trying to add PVE1 to it, it seems you can only add nodes that do not have VM's yet (Why?).
So I removed the cluster with help from this forum (Why is this not in the GUI?) and started over.
I created a cluster on PVE1 and joined PVE2 to it. From the PVE1 webgui I can maintain PVE2 perfectly. However I can not logon to the webgui of PVE2 anymore. It complains about connection failure (Proxmox VE services not running?) I assume that this is not default behaviour. The main goal of this exercise of course is to delete node PVE1 after all migration has taken place. That seems not possible this way.
Any ideas?
