Hi
I have existing et fine running cluster in OVH
I use vrack of OVH for interconnection
Nodes of cluster run PVE 6.4-13 and have 2 NIC's
en01 pubic IP for management
eno2 connected on the private vrack with differents vlan
vmbr1 eno1.100 for heartbeat for the cluster
vmbr2 eno1.200 for private VM's
vmbr3 eno1.300 for private VM's

the new server run PVE 7.4-19 with the same network configuration

/etc/hosts are the same @IP_public FQDN and @IP_private SHORTNAME

I can ping from the new server to all machines in the cluster using private IP in vmbr1 also with shortname (same for ping from all machines in the cluster to the new server)
when I try to join the cluster with PVCEM ADD @PRIVATE_IP I get the following error

500 Can't connect to IP:8006 (hostname verification failed)

thank for your experience

Hi,

I would check `/etc/hosts` file on both the new and existing nodes has consistent and correct entries. Each entry should map both the public IP to the FQDN and the private IP to the short hostname, additionally, could you run the following command from the both nodes?

Code:
curl -k https://<NODE_IP>:8006
