I'm trying to install Proxmox with USB media on that machine (iMac13,1: Ivy Bridge corei5 3330S, NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M)
USB media successfully boots, and I can go through all installer screens.
However, install fails complaining about some .deb package decompression error
Tried with 6.2-1 or 6.1-2: same problem (different .deb package)

Any advice?
Thanks.

Download iso again, check MD5 sums.
This could be a corrupted install media.
Also check if there are some scratches or dirt on the surface of the disk you are using.
HTH

checksums are correct, and replicated the issue rebuilding USB media several times with different methods (balenaEtcher, dd)

You could try using a DVD (yeah old-school, I know :D).
I somewhat thought I have read that you were using optical media but obviously that was wrong. Apologies

ok seems a 8GB flash drive did the trick (original 2GB was maybe not enough?)
Hi there - I'm trying the same with my late 2012 iMAC 27. Installation worked fine, but I cannot get GPU passthrough enabled. Do you have an idea? Thx

I'm also interested in doing this, I have the GTX675 1Gb GPU, anyone has managed to make passthrough work on that iMac?
