Can't do backup job with vzdump

hello
I am running a proxmox server version 2.3 and i am new to proxmox
I am trying to do a backup of a guest virtual machine with vmid 102 using vzdump but i got the same error .

vzdump --dumpdir /var/lib/vz/dump --snapshot 102
INFO: starting new backup job: vzdump --dumpdir /var/lib/vz/dump --snapshot 102
ERROR: Backup of VM 102 failed - unable to find VM '102'
INFO: Backup job finished with errors

Please help!

What is the output of

# ls /etc/pve/qemu-server

or (for containers)

# ls /etc/pve/openvz

the output is

100.conf  102.conf  105.conf  108-org.conf
101.conf  103.conf  108.conf  109.conf

VM 109 is the one i am trying to do backup.

but for ls /etc/pve/openvz i have nothing returned

i have followed your link,vreated an nfs server storage and did backup via proxmox web interface.
