Hello All,

I am very new to ProxMox. I am not able to create a virtual machine. I m hoping you can guide me here.

About Proxmox
Version ...................................... 1.9
Environment ............................... VirtualBox (testing purposes) installed in Windows 7 Professional
Processor.................................... AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1100t 3.30 GHz
RAM ........................................... 8.00 GB
System type ................................ 64-bit

Issue
When I go Virtual Machines and click on Create it says:
Attention: This CPU does not support KVM virtual machines (no Intel VT / AMD-V support).

Under configuration
Type: has only "Container OpenVZ"
Template: Seems to be empty

Result

When I try to create the VM after all I could select, it says "Error: field template must not be empty

Thank you,
aroldgre

you hardware virtualization support in your physical hardware (BIOS). if you run inside virtual box (or any other like vmware workstation) its not available, so you need to test on physical hardware instead of vitualbox if you want to test KVM, but OpenVZ works.

and I suggest you take a look on the http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Category:Video_Tutorials
