Can't connect SAS drives that are connected to RAID controller

I have a dell r610 server with 2x150GB SAS drives, when I first installed proxmox they didn't appear, so I went into the SAS adapter and configured them as RAID 0 drives and that helped make them show up. but now when I go to set up VMs, and it says no usable drives, then when I go to wipe the drives I get this error:

disk/partition '/dev/sda3' has a holder (500)

They already had partitioning on them which I could not get rid of.

When I am good to make a zfs pool it gives me this note: Note: ZFS is not compatible with disks backed by a hardware RAID controller. For details see the reference documentation.

How do I integrate these drives?
