First time using the ceph backup client. Used it to back up a path on a promox server and whole rPI.

For backups that used legacy detection mode i can browse the files in the pbs backup ui just fine.
For backups that used the new metadat detection mode i can't browse the files - the browser UI just spins.

If I mount the file on a machine from the pbs store, it mounts fine and I can see the files.

Is this a know bug or by design?

picture - green i can browse just fine, red can't browse just get spinning wheel....

This does not look right, what version of PBS are you running? Please post the output of proxmox-backup-manager version --verbose. ppxar files contain the file payload (so the actual file data), but none of the file metadata, which is required to access and navigate the filesystem structure. Latter is stored in the mpxar file, therefore only that one can be used to navigate.

Make sure you are running an up to date version, you should only see the folder icon for the mpxar file

the backups, were done last night when it was an older version - didnt check version

last night i updated, rebooted, went back in to the UI and still had the issue so made the thread here

when i work up this morning and checked based on this message - the little folder icons have moved and now it works, this was from a different browser instance on a different machine.

I assume this is a combo issue of pbs version and cached pages not flushed on my client after upgrade

tl;dr fixed, sorry to have randomized you

(on the upside it forced me to learn how to mount the files!)
