Im not sure if this is the right forum, but I'm out of ideas at this point.
So we have an DELL poweredge FC630 as one of out four servers in a Poweredge FX2 Chassis
Each server has 4 Physical ethernet interfaces 16 total, mapped to a total of 8 physical ethernet interfaces in the poweredge FX2, so they share the external interfaces 2:1.
Now comes the issue:
On this one server we cant bring up eth1 and eth3 but return the error:
RTNETLINK answers: File exists
Failed to bring up eth1.
if i do:
ip addr flush dev eth1
and try to bring up the eth1 interface it says:
RTNETLINK answers: Resource temporarily unavailable
Failed to bring up eth1.
I have googled around a bit and tried various suggestions none of them working.
if i reboot the server it also comes with an error about eth1 and eth3:
bnx2n_open:12481(eth1) Recover flow hasn't been proplery completed yet
And i have been unable to find any usefull information about this error, so i turned to these forums as a desperate last attempt.
I have run hardware diagnostic via DELL idrac, and it report all ethernet interfaces as working, and i have updated to the latest firmware, nothing seems to help
Now to better understand how the setup is working eth0 and eth1 are going to a SAN each, and eth2 and eth3 is bonded to a bridge used by the VM in proxmox so the server has connection outside and can talk with 1 SAN, but not the other SAN
All the other tree servers in the FX chassis has no issues with either of the interfaces, and the configuration is identical, expect for a different static ip for each
I hope you guys can point me in a direction to fix this
