After changing the management IP address of my system, I can't access the web management anymore. I am running v8.1.4.

Changes I made were:
- /etc/network/interfaces --> updated with new IP/mask/GW. Saved and closed.
- /etc/hosts --> updated to new IP to match. Saved and closed.
- rebooted PROXMOX
- Updated the native vlan on the uplink switch to match the new VLAN containing the new address. The links is trunked with all vlans.

SSH to the new IP works fine and all VM's are fine as well. I have a few ubuntu hosts which I can still SSH to.
Yet the PROXMOX web platform remains unreachable via: https://[my-new-IP]:8006. --> the page just loads for ages then eventually times out.

If there another file or section that needs to be modified with the new address?

When I rollback the changes in the above mentioned text files and the native vlan on my switch, the web console comes back to life on the old address. Wierd.

Did you perhaps implement a firewall at some level?

When you update to new IP, since you are able to SSH into the PVE host, what happens when you run from the SSH terminal on PVE:
curl -k https://localhost:8006
curl -k https://new_ip:8006

The files you changed should be all you need for a simple solo install.

Thank you bbgeek17 - You're correct, it was a firewall rule blocking port 8006.
The curl output was a helpful indicator - appreciate the troubleshooting tips.
Think I was too tired last night...
All working now, much appreciated.
