canot migrate vm fro a version 8 cluster node to a version 9 node

I read that 8 to 9 will work but 9 to 8 not. I have 8 to 9, but job status has a red cross. I have the latest QEMU-Server installed on both nodes.

It would help if you can share:
pveversion -v
qm list
qm status
qm migrate ID NODE2
Screenshot of the exact state you are looking at.
