hello all,

I have a Linux VM with a Plex Media Server. everything has been running fine for a long time until... apparently the VM cannot be powered down for the backup job. I get the attached errors every night basically. I also noticed the VM sometimes becomes unresponsive and I have to hard stop and restart...

what is going on? thanks!

Please share the VM configuration. Did you enable QEMU Guest Agent in the VM Options? Then make sure it is installed and running inside the VM.

QEMU agent is indeed installed and enabled. I have however noticed how sometimes the Proxmox GUI does not show the VM ip address and reports the agent as "not running".

I have now apt purged the agent, rebooted the VM and re-installed QEMU. I will monitor the behaviour.

any other advice? thanks!
