This is an exact duplicate of https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/pve-host-and-pve-guest-on-zfs-rpool-fails-to-import.135200/
In brief, I have a whole disk that I pass to a VM that is formatted with ZFS and has the same zpool names as Proxmox (ie 'rpool'). So when Proxmox host boots, it sees two zpools named "rpool" and does not know which to boot.
The linked post says this was resolved in kernel 6.2.16-18-pve. I have just upgraded to PVE8 with kernel 6.8.12-2-pve, and it is definitely still an issue.
Is there a way to specify the location of 'rpool', like a disk UUID or something?
