I am still fairly new to Proxmox, so you'll have to forgive my ignorance. I am unable to access my web ui or even ping google dns. posted below will be the outputs i have for ip a, ip r, and cat /etc/network/interfaces, as well as the output for resolv.conf. I'm a little lost. any information to point me in the right direction will be greatly appreciated. I want to learn what i can. :)

Ip_r and ip_a as well as cat interfaces.jpgresolv.conf.jpg

Your config file shows that the main virtual bridge is pointing to "enp7s0", there appeas to be no such interface on your system.
In fact, both physical interfaces shown are DOWN.
The running configuration shown via "ip a" actually shows vmbr to be using PVE firewall. Since you are new to PVE, I recommend that you reduce complexity and disable firewall. Ensure you are using correct interface and that all cables are plugged.
https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Firewall should help you figure out how to get back to default, non-firewall setup.

good luck

If i may ask,
what within "ip a vmbr0" shows you that it is using the PVE firewall? I haven't messed with anything firewall related to my knowledge. I'm also pretty confident the bridge was enp7s0 before. how can something like that change?
