Can you map an RDM like in VMware?

I'm a bit new to KVM, so forgive if this is a newb question. In VMware I can present a raw disk device to the guest via some redirect shenanigans. Can you do that in ProxMox/KVM? I'd like a guest to directly access /dev/sd#

I don't see any way to add a raw device (in VMware speak) in Proxmox, and after reading an hour of Google results to this search in KVM I'm not any closer to an answer.
