[SOLVED] can not shutdown with apc ups

version 4.15.18-14-pve
two vms , lede and omv(nas)
ups is apc bk650-ch.
the vms' shutdown priority is correct and can be shutdown in pve console or gui.

I connect pve host machine to ups , install apcupsd , modify config file . but when I unplug ,the pve terminal show this IMG_20190616_100012~01.jpg, but nothing happens, vms are not shut.

I am using a Smart UPS and their PowerChute instead of apcupsd.
I cannot tell much about apcupsd, but it seems that the UPS sends the correct messages, while apcupsd does not process them.

I.e. the UPS tells that the UPS is lacking power, but when the shutdown sequence is initiated, no actual command is being deployed. You should look into apcupsd and if it set correctly.

Alternatively you can try PowerChute and see if it works.

In the apccontrol script the doshutdown's content is

as the message printed on my screen. It seems the "shutdown -h now " was executed. I will check why
 
This is weird. Have you tried doing the command line shutdown manually?
It may be the case that some VMs don't have the QEMU agent running.
It also happened that the shutdown of VM was stuck due to Windows update.

the qemu agent works well in both vm. shutdown / poweroff command in pve work correctly, as well as the qemu ping command
 
It may sound stupid, but are the shutdown commands executed with root privileges? Can it be the case that the system simply rejects it since the apcupsd does not have the right privileges?
 
We use apcupsd many years with proxmox and other linuxdistris. If i phoned with apc directly, the support said it is much more better to use apcupsd as the own powershutsoftware. Apcupsd works perfectly. So two things:

It's so wired that my pve auto shutdown by apc signal works fine today.

first you should confirm the ' systemctl status apcupsd.service' , it should be running correctly.

I modified the upscable,upstype,device,batterylevel,minutes,timeout,killdelay.
So when the power supply is interrupted, the ups will still hang on 30 seconds, and then notify the pve system to execute the doshutdown in /etc/apcupsd/apccontrol.

I really make no sense about killdelay config . But I know the timeout config(30 senconds) is affecting my apc. And the timeout config take precedence of BATTERYLEVEL and MINUTES . Because this apc can support my NAS for at least 30 minutes, as the acpaccess shows.
