Can not extend my partition

Hello,

I store my VMs and file system on a 250Go flash disk, I use my NAS files on a 1To Nvme disk. The disk was partitioned in 2 parts, Nvme0n1 (OMV storage) and Nvme0n2 (to clone VM in the future). I wanted to change my Nvme storage to 2To. I cloned the disk with clonezilla. LVM disk NVMEp1 was correctly detected by Proxmox but I had to recreate PV and VG on Nvme0n2 to add LVM disk NVMEp2, I don’t know why...

Now I am blocked, I can not extend Nvme0n1 partition to add 900Go free space for my NAS storage.

Would you have a solution?

You will find pictures below.

Thanks

Hello xavnj94! You need to unmount the partition you are trying to extend before you can extend it, like fdisk recommends you. Afterwards you should be able to extend it and then you can mount it again.

One more thing: although you shouldn't have any issues with extending the partition, keep in mind that changes to the filesystem can theoretically go wrong, so make sure to have a backup of your data, just to be on the safe side.

Thanks but I have already tried to unmount the partition.

I think here is the issue:
/dev/mapper/NVMEp1-vm--100--disk--0-part
How can I move my "Hard Disk VM" to reinstall it after have extended my partition?Capture d'écran 2025-01-26 014042.png
