So I had some painters in my house this past week, and despite my instructions, they move around a bunch of my network equipment. Afterwards, I discovered that I could no longer ping my Proxmox Server. I did some troubleshooting, and thought that the network cable had been damaged, but I have been working on this for several hours now, and cannot figure out what is going on.
I have isolated the server on a switch between my computer and the server, tried several different cables, but cannot see the proxmox server. The outputs of 'ip addr' and 'ip link' don't show me anything unusual--the network interface is UP with the expected IP and I can ping myself. But I cannot see my other computer on the network, and I cannot ping the Proxmox server from my computer. I also changed the ip in the /etc/network/interfaces file and restarted the networking service to no avail. Does anyone have any other troubleshooting tips that I can try?? I'm desperate!!!
