Can i use backup server for host backup?

Some time ago i saw a tutorial about using urBackup for doing proxmox host backups

I have no experience yet with Proxmox Backup Server but from what i see it is also server-client solution which can be used for doing backups of physical machines right? So it should also work for host. Am i right?

yes - see https://pbs.proxmox.com/docs/backup-client.html#creating-backups

note that depending on your setup, you might want to create a backup with multiple .pxar archives or include extra mountpoints..
