Can I live-migrate OpenVZ VMs from 1.x into new 2.1 server?

I really like 2.1 - looks sharp and far better management!

How can I do a live-migrate from OpenVZ on 1.x , into a new, blank 2.1 server?

this will not work, as the config changed. e.g. in 2.x we use now vswap. you should use backup/restore and then adapt the memory/vswap settings and start.
