Hi,

Here is the error I get when I try to create a container on a Pve 5.4-6

Code:
extracting archive '/var/lib/vz/template/cache/debian-10-standard_10.5-1_amd64.tar.gz'
Total bytes read: 671406080 (641MiB, 105MiB/s)
Detected container architecture: amd64
TASK ERROR: unable to create CT 301 - unsupported debian version '10.5'

So is it a limitation due to my Pve version ?

The longer you wait, the worse the pain will be. If the system is still on the Internet or has access, the risk increases many times over. Proxmox VE 5 was based on Stretch and Stretch has been EOL since June 30, 2022.

You then simply create backups beforehand or set up a new system on the side and transfer the systems.

So can I :

1/ setup a completly new PVE 8
2/ import on it my tar.lzo and tar.ge containers ?

No problem to run a container on Debian 9 on a PVE 8 ? (yes because some containers are also on Debian 9 and I can't upgrade them)
