Hi,
Look like new kernel has bug.
Before update I was able to run simultaneously 5 OpenVZ. Totally I Used in OpenVZ 12 processors simultaneously(most of them really was not active).

After update I Can run only 2 OpenVZ. Total amount used processors could be different. Other openVZ after starting stopping work. Only mount disk.

Hi I'm new to the proxmox world, but I have been experiencing a similar problem.

I have narrowed it down to I can't boot 2 Ubuntu openvz.

The second openvz will only go to a mounted state.

If I install a second Debian Openvz it runs with out any problems.

Is it due to the Kernel update?

I just make the last updates (apt-get update/apt-get upgrade and reboot) on one PVE machine and I start 3 OpenVZ machines and everything it's normal.

Maybe it's a template problem...

What version/template is that Ubuntu?

Ubuntu Hardy (standard) - ubuntu-8.0-standard_8.04-1_i386.tar.gz from the Appliance Templates.

I ran a pveam update before re-downloading the ubuntu template, but no change.

Hi,

I am using one VM with Ubuntu x64 from yours site, and look like I am using mainly Ubuntu-8.0-standard_8.04. But with all updates.

I was finally able to reproduce the problem, and just uploaded a new kernel - please can you test.

# apt-get update
# apt-get upgrade
# reboot

Hi Dietmar,

That fixed my problem. I can now boot 2 Ubuntu Vm's.

Thanks!
