It seems that before we can help others we mostly have to ask them about their setup.
How difficult would it be to create a script that would automatically export all necessary hardware/software/host/client info to a (text) file?

People could just export this and include it in their problem posts.

Hi,
this should not so difficult (depends on the deep), but I think that many users don't give too much infos to the public (me included). In the files are also the domain-names, ip-ranges and so on.
Normaly you must randomize this data - which makes not easy to find some problems (e.g. network/routing).
But for the other problems, this will be helpfull with a randomized config-file. But the question is - what data need to be randomized? Only network and domain-infos? machine-names? ...
