Hi guys,

I am new here and have a small problem I think I just broke my VM.

Situation:

Got porxmox server with 2 storage devices storage 1 (900gb) and storage 2 (900gb)
Got 1 Ubuntu VM on my server linked with storage 2 and running samba service to drop files there.
The problem was that the storage was full and I increased the size in proxmox to 1.4Tb and also in Ubuntu is resize the disk to new full capacity 1.4Tb.
Dropped some files from my other pc (windows) in the samba storage folder exceeding the storage 1 physical limit and now my Ubuntu keeps freezing and try some reboot but cant get pas the start up screen.

My question:

Can I downsize back my disk or link storage 1 so the threshold is back ok ?

Thanks.

hi,

* what kind of storage are you using? can you post /etc/pve/storage.cfg?

not when it's full... you can try mounting the VM image on the host and deleting some stuff to free up space. fstrim could also be of help.

Can not tell you what storage can't pas the following code after reboot:

and then the VM freezes:

sorry i meant on the PVE, not inside VM

The only thing I can think of to solve it is buy a bigger HDD and clone the VM.
All my storage is full now storage1Tb 0% free and storage2 20% free.
