Hello everyone!
We all know the rule: don't combine RAID controllers with ZFS.
That's why we've been using Supermicro boards like the H12SSL-NT with its onboard AHCI controller for our setups.
However, our new hardware distributor has recommended a change. They suggest moving to the H12SSL-CT (H13SSL-CT) and using a Broadcom 3008 SATA/SAS 12G HBA, flashed into "IT-Mode." Their reasoning is that Proxmox users specifically prefer this Broadcom HBA setup.
Does anyone have experience with a 'Broadcom 3008 SATA/SAS 12G HBA' in IT-Mode?
What board would you recommend?
Answer from KI to my thread, is this correct?

Community Endorsement: You're absolutely right – the Broadcom 3008 in IT mode is the de facto standard for ZFS builds in the
Proxmox, TrueNAS (formerly FreeNAS), and UnRAID communities. Its reliability, performance, and compatibility are well-proven over many years.
