Hi guys,

I've the following setup: Proxmox is running in a VirtualBox with Bridged Network Adapter:

Proxmox running in that VM has the following network interface:

ip addr:

To this point everything works fine. I can ping the gateway: 192.168.178.1 from proxmox host and internet access works fine as well. The problem is, that in a VM hosted by proxmox I cant get internet access or ping the gateway.

Config of the network adapter of an ubuntu vm hostet by proxmox:

The netcfg.yaml looks like that:

ip addr returns:

From my Laptop I can ping the ubuntu vm and I can see the ip in my gateway. But why is no connection ubuntu vm > proxmox > gateway possible? Is a bridged network cascade even possible?

Yes I've tryed that but it does not work. With NAT settings I can't reach Proxmox with my browser. Do I have to change the promox interface for that?

When Proxmox starts, it will recognize its physical NIC and receive an IP address from VirtualBox's internal DHCP service. Usually, this is something like 10.0.x.x (for example: 10.0.2.15).
This does not happen - proxmox still has a static ip.

I mean if I have Internet on Proxmox Host then it should be possible to have Internet on the Proxmox Guest VM but I can only reach the Host and not beyond. Maybe bridge vmr0 blocks outgoing requests?
