Bridge not passing traffic

I have added new network cards to my 3 hosts. The network cards are showing up in the system. When I configure an IP address on the interfaces I can ping each server from all other servers. So I know the network cards are working and the network switch they are all connected to is working. However, when I remove the ip address from the interfaces, setup new bridges, configure the same ip addresses as before to the bridges, and connect the interfaces to the bridges, none of the hosts can ping any other host. VM's on the host with a nic connected to the new bridge is able to ping the host and the host can ping the vm, but neither the vm nor the host can ping any of the other hosts or any of the vm's on the other hosts.

Does anyone know why the bridges won't allow traffic to pass through the assigned interface?
