Proxmox staff,

Have you ever tossed around the idea of implementing a bounty program to serve as another source of revenue stream?

You could put a system in place where customers submit feature requests, you estimate how many programming hours & dollars it would take to implement that feature, & people commit to pay all or part of the bounty amount. Once that amount is reached then the money is put in an escrow account or something until the feature is released?

You might pick up those stragglers who's employers aren't yet willing or financially able to pay for support subscriptions but would benefit from being able to pay a little something to have their feature request filled.

I know that I personally would be willing to pay $250-$500 USD to have the mac addresses and network card type show up in the hosts network settings.

yes, this was discussed several times but the our development process does not really fit into such a system.
you can´t really gain more than a few hundreds bucks by such a system - which is far too less to employ additionally dedicated developers for such tasks.

If you want new features, follow this guide: http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Developer_Documentation
