Hi,

We provide support exclusively in English and German. Please write your query in either English or German so that we/users can assist you quickly.

Regarding the issue you have, could you please post the VM config? Using `qm config <VMID>` command?

Hi, okay
I have a fresh install of proxmox 8 and I am trying to restore my backups from proxmox 6 to 8. Everything is fine except one VM on Oracle Linux 9.2, when I do the restore the system boots showing a kernel panic . The capture of qm config <VMID> below

Thank you, could you please test to set q35 as machine to the 112 VM? you can do that by going to the VM -> Hardware in the PVE Web UI.

Otherwise, I would test the restore if works on the Proxmox VE 6.x in order to narrow down the issue.

It's always the same with the q5.

Thank you for the test!

This might be that the issue is from the backup, it might corrupt, could you make a new backup of the VM and restore it on another PVE server?
