Hi

I have installed windows on an external harddrive (that i have used on a former server), now i want to boot a wm on proxmox to that harddrive. How can i do that?

it works as a normal bootable usb. But i have tried to follow other tutorials, but it wont work for me.

And i have inserted the harddrive with usb, but it does not show up on the server, i have tried using the command "lsusb". And it does not show up.

If you cannot see your USB drive using tools like lsusb then the following steps will certainly not work. You can check if dmesg shows something useful when you plug your drive in.
