Resolved - Boot Client from CD loaded in server

Ignore post, as it boiled down to a hardware issue. Not sure why but I had been using the box susccesfully for a year and a half with virtual box, decided last month to load proxmox server using CD drive ok. Seems said CD Drive decided to die between loading Promox and me wanting to build a client. Swapped out drive and all is good? :p Spent days trying to fix this issue...............

Hi
Is it possible to load/boot from an ISO in the servers CDROM or only from uploaded ISO's.
I may have the wrong end of the stick here and not understanding the process.

I have searched the wiki and this forum but do not find reference to loading or booting from the servers own CD Drive to install a VE Client.

Is it a case of when creating the VE Client you can only point to the uploaded ISO on the server.
If I select CD ROM I just get a message
Booting from DVD/CD
1023MB medium detected
Bott failed could not read from CDROM (Code 0003)
No bootable device

I have checked the ISO and it is fine in other machines. Not spaces in the ISO
Even if I use a different ISO it gives me the same error and same sized media detected, so I suspect it is looking at a virtual CD ROM and not the actual servers.
Regards
