Bonding multiple network interfaces

Hello,

I would like to add a gigabit network card to use this cool feature.
I were thinking of Intel PRO/1000 CT but will it be well supported by the os and proxmox ?
Would you recommend another one ?

Should be. The chipset used on that card has been around for a bit now, and if the driver that ships with the kernel/debian version that proxmox uses doesn't support it well (or at all, which would surprise the heck out of me if that was the case), Intel does have drivers available for download from their site.

So you know (if you don't already or forgot), the chipset in use is the most important part when determining if a given piece of kit will work. The brand/model isn't nearly as important.

As for compatibility of the base OS, Intel chipset-based cards are highly regarded within the Linux community, as well as others, such as the *BSD groups. It would be hard to go wrong with an Intel-based network card.

Proxmox, as I understand it, doesn't care. The proxmox software sits on top of the OS and interacts with the hardware at too high of a level (it's just a network connection) for it to matter much, if at all.

(I'm sure I'll be corrected if this is incorrect, but I'm pretty sure I'm correct)

Our 2.6.32 kernel ship with the driver provided by intel!
