Bond modes?

I'm unfamiliar with some of the bond modes present in the bonding configuration. I've searched the wiki, but haven't found anything that describes each. A couple are fairly self explanatory, but some such as the balancers are not. Is there anyone who could shed more light on the modes, or perhaps give a description of each?
