There will be false positive but mostly is because the senders did not properly configure their email servers.
It is optional to enable the feature.
You can always use mail filter to filter domains/regex/from/sender.

Alright, thanks for the feedback. Maybe i will give both options also a try. My opinion regrading custom regex / SPAM Filter efforts: mostely it won't make any sense, as it will introduce actually more false-postives than before / without any of such custom rulesets introduced by single hueman for special purposes on their own mailsite....... @killmasta93 using SPF turned on as Default on PMG installation, so you should use it. While other settings turned off as default - you can experiment with, just my thoughts on it.. And having too much on against SPAM, won't automatically help more....

Bad that you disabled SPF checking. Other Mailserver Operaters must configure their SPF Records properly, otherwise they will never do so. What's your DNSBL threshold score? As you have weighted most lists with score 2.

i guess your right as for the threshold score i have it as in 2

hmmm i wish i could add that rule but the emails instead of reject would go to spam sometimes false positives

i guess your right im going to check the SPF option but as for the reject_unknown_client_hostname im guessing that it rejects if the server does not have the correct PTR? like the ip which is mail.domain.com and the other way around?

PMG UI do not have option to set reject_unknown_reverse_client_hostname.

reject unknown clients which im getting when the client does not have the correct PTR?

so if the client email server does not have the correct PTR wont go though, but this might be alots of false alarms such as exchange servers

and this well seems better that if someone sends an email without no mx record will get rejected.

Yes. You should only accept emails from trusted sources.
It is an optional function.
