Hi,

is there any reason why the command 'proxmox-backup-manager disk' creates an extra partition instead of using the whole block device directly?
Especially for jbod's it is much easier to resize them because fdisk/parted isn't necessary, just resize the disk within PVE and execute xfs_growfs /mount/point.

it is intended to be a simple tool for adding storage space, and having a filesystem directly on a block device is rather unusual, so we create a partition.
if you want to have more specialized setups for your storage, there is no restriction, but you have the underlying linux tools yourself

Indeed, it is 'rather unusual', but works like a charm ;). Thank's for you answer!

Regards
Daniel

And by the way, many thanks for these great products!
