Hi,

i'm new at installing proxmox. i wrote dvd on usb key, booted it.
Screen show me the ip i set, but when i access https://A.B.C.D:8006/ all i get is a blank screen ?

i tried to reinstall pxeproxy (as suggested on some forums) with no luck.

Has anyone encountered this behaviour and solved it ?

I hope so. Best regards.

Is JavaScript enabled? I get a blank browser windows with Firefox NoScript blocking.
Does your browser accept (after warning) self-signed certificates?
Can you log on to the Proxmox host console and run ip a?
What browser on what operating system are you using? What is the IP-address of that machine?

javascript is enabled (ad least i never disabled it and i don't use a noscript plugin)

4: vmbr0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc noqueue state UP group default qlen 1000
link/ether fc:aa:14:a6:16:d3 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
inet 192.168.9.80/24 brd 192.168.9.255 scope global vmbr0

i accepted certificate and view source show code, but inspector tells there is javascript error.

so maybe javascript is not enabled, i'll check further.

i've checked with about:config (firefox 100) and javascript is enabled.
i'm using linux.

i can log on the prom console and ssh to it also. (enabled by default on 6.x)

i have the same probleme in 6.x and 7.2.

You said there is a javascript error. What is the error?

about the upgradables, "computers says noooo" ... some packages are kept back and prevent upgrade. i may break all if it stille bother me.

35 packages can be upgraded. Run 'apt list --upgradable' to see them.
root@pve:~# apt full-upgrade
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Calculating upgrade... Done
The following packages have been kept back:
libpve-access-control libpve-common-perl libpve-guest-common-perl
libpve-http-server-perl libpve-storage-perl pve-container zfs-initramfs
zfs-zed

Not going off much here but it seems to me the most likely problem here is some weird version mismatch which leads to your ExtJS/ProxmoxLib breaking. I'd say the most likely culprit here are the non-upgraded packages.

This overflow post explains why your packages have been kept back and what you can do to resolve them. The "aggressive" solution there is actually the recommended way of upgrading Proxmox apt full-upgrade or the alias apt dist-upgrade.
While I am not completely sure whether forcing the upgrade or cherry picking the packages here is for the best, I think you should still update anyway.
I think it depends whether you are running a production environment or are just testing out things. Nonetheless, doing a backup beforehand is never wrong, just in case something does go wrong.
