Blank From Address Emails

Dear Support,

I am getting some emails like this .Is this normal ?No From address its showing in the tracking center.From where this emails came and how can we know that.

The email address is genuine and one of our client.

How you deploy your PMG?
Do you have the email? Can you check the email source? The source should tell you the incoming and outgoing of the emails.

Deployed PMG before email server.

All emails that Sent out/sent in is having From and To address in Tracking center except this..

please post the (anonymized) mail.log (/var/log/mail.log) for the complete mail as text instead of screenshots - since the screenshot is cut and lacks important information.

are you saying that you have empty from?

Check in mail.log what exactly is from. Could be that it's empty.

In Proxmox you can "catch" all empty "from" mails with "who" list with "^$" regex.

From where this emails came and how can we know that.

Empty from mails are usually NDR's (errors/notifications), and by the SMTP RFC have to be accepted by all mail servers.
Problem with this is that spammers also know this, and use it to send spam.
