Best way to have an offsite mirror of the VM backups?

the easiest way is to setup a second offsite pbs instance and use it to pull your datastores there:

As workaround you can create a remote -> localhost and use it to sync to a pool on a removable device.

We are still on PBS 1.1-13 thus I don't know if this functionality was implemented in the meantime.
