I just installed proxmox on a small 16GB SATADOM. During setup, I set the local-lvm to 0, so it split the drive in two equal 8GB partitions, one for root and the other for the local vz directory. I then setup a 3.2TB enterprise nvme with a single lvm-thin partition spanning the whole drive.
I want to setup a storage directory and use it for all the default things the local directory would be used for (VZDump, ISO etc.) but I realized after the fact that I may have backed myself into a corner by not splitting the drive into separate storage and thin partitions.
Can someone advise on the best way to carve out storage on the nvme?
