Read through the posts but couldn't figure out the best practice for my question. Apologies if this is a newbie and has been addressed before (or maybe not):
Have a single Proxmox server installed on an old but powerful computer (with 500G and 32G).
Created a dozen containers and a few VMs.
Love it!
Consider what is the best practice to share an external USB connected 4T disk, which already has data on it, and will be used for file sharing and proxmox backup.
Currently, I created a VM with Samba that mounts the disk and then shares it with all the network, including the host (for backups). Not Ideal.
Any detailing on the best practice is welcome!
