Hi all,
We have configured the following network set-up for our Proxmox hosts:
* 4 trunk ports per host on the switches (no LACP)
* 2 Linux bonds on the host (2 ports per bond) (bond0 and bond1)
* 1 vlan aware vmbr0 with the 2 bonds configured and bridge ports bond0 and bond1
* 2 additional vmbr's to add the IP addresses to the host
My question concerns the Linux bond modes. We are currently using: active-backup, however since we are using trunk ports on the switch I'm wondering
if balance-rr or any other option would be beneficial. Or perhaps a migration to LACP configuration on the switch ports?
I'm interested in any experiences with these options and curious to see if one is better than the other.
Thank you in advance!
