What can i do to fix this Problem ? Sorry for my bad english. School was long time ago.

Hi,

Do you have enough space?

Does the backup always fail on only this specific Windows 11?

Can you post the output of storage.cfg cat /etc/pve/storage.cfg in order to know what type of storage are you using for the backups?

AFAIK this ERROR: job failed with err -5 - Input/output error error related to the storage level, did you check your storage using smartctl?

Yes the Backupdisk have more than 4 TB place:

Yes only on this VM with Windows 11. The other VM's are Windows 7.

Your disk got offline uncorrectible errors so some bad sectors. And no smart tests were logged.
You could run a long selftest with smartctl -t long /dev/sdd to see if there are problems accessing some sectors.

I have test the Backup with a NAS and freenas ZFS system as Backup. Same Problem i dont think thats a DIskproblem

Hi,
please also check the disk where the qcow2 file is residing on (the IO error might be happening upon read). Is there anything in /var/log/syslog during the backup?

Its right the sources have a problem:
Code:
cp: error reading 'vm-309-disk-0.qcow2': Input/output error
. what can i do to backup this VM ?

Please check if the drive is connected properly. If it is, it's likely failing. Don't use it anymore and use a tool like ddrescue to get an image copy of what can still be salvaged.
