I noticed a message while backing up a Linux VM to external storage ( NAS with NFS V4 ).

Message is : "Use of uninitialized value $type in string eq at /usr/share/perl5/PVE/QemuServer.pm line 2026."

I'm running PVE 5.3.5

Is this really a problem or just a warning ?

Looks like there is something related to this message in PVE German Forum.

Hi Dietmar,

I tested with PVE version 5.4 and there is no more message.

To do the test I recovery from a previous backup made on PVE version 5.3

The VM is not a Linux but Windows 10 ( the only one I have in my lab ).

This is VM.conf file :

Hi Dietmar,

I tested on version 5.4 and I see no message about "uninitialized value $type".

So, in my opinion the problem was fixed ( does not show up on version 5.4 ).
